Inhambane provides a plethora of options of beach resorts, lodges and hotels. Inhambane is world famous for the manta ray and whaleshark activity in the area. It is the underwater playground you have always dreamed about. The area has a wonderful feel about it, in that you can still find remote, quiet hideaway beaches for some romantic or family time on one day, and on another you want to hop from restaurant to café, tasting some of the culinary delights that await.
The province of Inhambane (known as the land of good people) is very large and spans wonderful beaches and lodges peppered along the primary dunes overlooking these really long, wide beaches.
The village of Tofo, around 22km from the city centre of Inhambane, is commonly known as the surfer’s paradise of Mozambique and also has some of the best diving Mozambique has to offer. Eco lodges and barefoot luxury is the call of the day in this area.
