Getting there:

How to get there: From South Africa, the easiest is to fly directly with SA Airlink to Nampula airport, and from there transfers can be arranged by road. International flights must be booked by client, transfers can be booked by TMC and cost around USD350 per car each way, depending on the lodge.

This luxury lodge is located across the bay of Ilha de Mozambique, and comprises of just 10 luxury villas, which tastefully combine an elegant mix of wood and textiles to ensure a harmonious blend with the natural surroundings. Facilities in the room include air-conditioning, complementary bottled water, tea&coffee, private bar and outdoor shower. Due to the unique location, there is a large variety of activities on offer, such as watersports including whale watching, snorkeling, canoeing, sailing, windsurfing and fishing. Not to mention trips across the bay to Ilha de Mozambique, the only UNESCO World Heritage site in Mozambique, for a historical trip second to none.

Rooms:

The lodge comprises of 10 luxury villas, which tastefully blend luxury and comfort with an elegant mix of wood and textiles to blend in with the surroundings.

The bedrooms all have Evening Breeze beds for comfort – these climate controlled canopy beds provide a superb sleeping experience.

All villas are 100m2 in size.

LAGOON VILLAS:

There are 4 in total.

Perfect for total privacy. Perched on the dunes, these rooms are more secluded and have a great view over the mangroves and Mozambique Island. 

There is a living space that includes an informal sitting area, bedroom, bathroom with a large terrace and sun loungers. 

COST: from $236 per person sharing per night.

Includes : Breakfast, lunch and dinner, Wifi internet in the lobby and restaurant, government tax, welcome drink and fruit basket in the room on arrival, local beer and local house wine, snacks, soft drinks, water, tea and coffee, snorkeling in the lagoon, canoeing and paddle boards, a guided visit to Ilha de Mozambique on the dhow, a walk and canoe trip to Cabaceira Pequena and the local Macua community, cooking with the chef (join the chef on his visit to the local market and learn to cook his favourite Mozambique dishes back at the lodge, beach dinner and private picnic.

Situated on top of the dunes, with direct ocean views .

These rooms have a living space that includes informal sitting areas, a bedroom, a bathroom and a large terrace with sun loungers.

COST: from $255 per person per night sharing.

Only one available.

This villa is situated on the top of the dunes and has direct views of the mangroves and Mozambique island.

These rooms have a living space that includes an informal sitting area, a bedroom, a bathroom and a large terrace. In this room there is also an extra bedroom included for 2 children or an extra adult. The extra bedroom has its own separate bathroom and washstand.

COST: from $236 per person per night sharing.

WHAT’S TO DO:

The main attraction is obviously Ilha de Mozambique, which is the only UNESCO World Heritage site in Mozambique. Immerse yourself in the countries rich history and culture of the Macua people across the bay.

Alternatively, simply stay at the resort and relax, or participate in the other activities on offer such as whale watching, snorkelling, canoeing, sailing, wind-surfing and fishing.

Included in the rate are some other really cool activities like joining the resort chef on his visit to the local market and learn to cook his favorite Mozambican dishes back at the lodge.

Also included in the rate is the private picnic served in a secluded area of the beach.
